My name is Hannah Scatterday. I’m a former paralegal and current content writer from Chicago. My expertise is in law, politics, English literature, and football.

I’m currently available for freelance copywriting roles.

I’m currently based in Spain and loving it! Nonetheless, I can accommodate multiple time zones for deadlines and meetings.

After completing a postgraduate degree in public policy in the U.K., I transitioned into the legal field and spent several years working as a paralegal. Over time, I became more interested in writing and creative expression and decided to refocus my career on content writing.

Law

I worked for over four years as a paralegal in multiple practice areas, including litigation, tax, restructuring, family law, and general transactional. I acquired my legal writing and analysis skills at one of the most prestigious firms in the world, and I feel confident about bringing that ability to the world of freelance.

Politics

I studied political science for my undergraduate degree, and my postgraduate degree is in public policy. But beyond that, politics is also something I’m deeply passionate about and spend a lot of my free time researching.

English Literature

English literature has long been a passion of mine and I relish the opportunity to incorporate that into my working life. Some of my favorite authors include Jane Austen, Agatha Christie, P.D. James, and Ngaio Marsh.

Football

The football is more of an optimistic inclusion. I am an avid supporter of the Premier League, but follow most of the European leagues fairly closely and I am ardently hoping to be able to write more about it.
